Tanzania/India Poem by Anshil

Tanzania India Poem Blog Image

Arboreal; temporarily and in intervals

An adaptation in transportation needed by nomadic terrestrials
Time travel, only forward and only to a single destination at a time
Time is precious.
Mere weeks out of my lifetime is spent with my estranged bloodline
Estranged; connotation is significant
Estranged; far away for long periods of time
Estranged; not emotionally
Connected; spiritually
Culture remembered, bonds solidified
Love everywhere
Spiritual awakening led by ancestors
Connections deeper than the sea
Family; my reason for life
Beautiful wilderness surrounds
Unique stripes individual to each zebra
Shaped horns of the impala; symmetry avoided
Gruff tusks and frayed hairs shamelessly worn by warthogs
Bold patterns on the skin of the giraffe
A wildebeest’s noble sacrifice to the blood thirsty lioness
A cubs first kill
Beauty is relative
Nature is beauty
The pigments fond to sight and fragrances desired by olfactory
Synonymous with hunts necessary for survival
Minds desensitized to true beauty; survival
Survival; lacking greed, excess, and idle time
Survival; the art of living
